In January 2016, Drone and Phone published its first episode, Hiking the Dragon’s Back. The concept was simple, to make five short videos of the best hikes in Hong Kong using a Drone and a Phone to record the journeys. Five years on and we have now created more than 500 videos of adventure, endurance and dedication from all over the world.
This website is designed as a reference tool to find activities for all the family around the region. While the focus has been on Hong Kong outdoor activities that can be done within a day, we now also have expanding sections on destinations in the Chinese Mailand and around Asia. Here you will find places you can reach with a short flight where there are lots of activities to explore.
We have DJ Clark, Jack Yao, George Chan and Chloe Feng in the team and present you three videos of one day adventure, race report, gear reviews and healthy living every week.
DJ Clark has over 30 years experience working for international media organisations all over the world as a visual journalist, presenter and film maker. In 2015 he moved to Hong Kong and soon after started this channel as a way to share his explorations around the region.
Jack Yao is an experienced hiker/camper/biker, video producer, specialising in race reports, gear reviews and feature documentaries.
George Chan is an enthusiastic adventurer and passionate video journalist who would bring you contents of one day outdoor activities in Hong Kong and across Asia every Friday.
Chloe Feng is a former TV presenter, a multimedia producer, and a nature lover. She explores healthy lifestyle and topics related to environmental protection and sustainability here in Hong Kong and across Asia.
